Round Robin Flight in Northwestern NJ

I have been working with the Polish Inquisition on short field landings and takeoffs. Today was graduation day, and we flew in to three airports in the northwestern part of the state so I could practice at actual short fields. For you pilots out there, I have larger images posted at the AOPA message board in the LBA conference.

First stop was Sky Manor (N40) in Pittstown, NJ. This was just a warmup because the runway is a whopping 2,439'! Anyway, I did some landings and takeoffs here and got Carl to fly the last one so I could get some pictures before we landed the last time for the world famous hamburgers there...

Next stop was Aeroflex-Andover (12N) which has a 1,981' runway. I had done tailwheel training here (the grass to the left of runway 21 is itself a runway). On the way out, we flew over Trica (13N) and if you look carefully, you can see Damien's yellow Piper Super Cub lined up for takeoff (I've done a whole bunch of landings and takeoffs at 13N in Damien's PA18-150).

Next was Blairstown (1N7). For you hikers who have hiked the Water Gap and seen all the gliders, this is where they come from.

Finally, a little frivolity flying through the Delaware Water Gap. These show the Water Gap, three pictures of Sunfish Pond (the last has the Water Gap in the backround, and the Delaware River on the right), and finally, Spruce Run Reservoir.
