New house progress as of November 20, 2003

As we make progress, I will post new pictures...

When we arrived on site this time, there was yellow caution tape where we usually park my truck. There were high winds the night before and a very large poplar tree was very close to coming down by itself. The contractor first tried to push it over with a forklift (and to try lifting the roots up as well), but it wouldn't quite go. Finally, the guy who had done the site prep work came over. It only took him about a minute to fell the tree...

The next three pictures show the copper roof being intstalled, the main entrance, and the garage. Next is a picture of two story den/library (the steel is to support the walkway around the library. The next three pictures show the triangular structure which is the guest bathroom in the basement, the breakfast nook on the first floor, and a reading nook off the library. The last shows stucco samples against the stone we'll be using on part of the house.
